1960 Gretsch Single Anniversary converted to a Double Anniversary. 2 Vintage Hilotron pickups, Smoke and Caddy Green 2 tone finish (they never seem to get the right colour on the reissues)
Has had a neck reset (some touch up paint round heel) and service by Piers Crocker. Space Control is a repro, and of course it has had a refret at some point. Pickup surrounds are replacements. Bridge pickup obviously is added, as are the knobs on the lower bout and the pickup switch.
I don't know if Alexis Korner or Brian Jones kissed this guitar or not..but it feels blessed either way. An early 60s Gretsch for this kinda dough, modded or not, is a cool thing.
Made in the USA..when gas was cheap and rock and roll grew on trees.
