Description
63 J-50, some 20 odd years into the run of this model.
Hacked, strummed, played, and coerced into submission, this guitar is way more guitar than tree now, and everything is resonating in a beautifully sympathetic way.
I'll attempt not to mention the Rolling Stones recorded acoustic guitar sounds as that is my usually go to..but honestly, the guitars on Beggars and Let It Bleed are hard to beat, and yeah..that, and more is what this guitar does.
One small crack repair between the pickguard and soundhole. Bottom of the soundhole has been given the Willie Nelson treatment.
Looks like the bridge may have lost a bit of heft at some point, with a slight shave off the bottom..However, the neck geometry is good, and the action is low and I think would suit most people where it is.
Strap pin added to the neck heel. Wear to the bottom edge of the soundhole.
Yep, this is a J-50 with more that one story to tell.
If I could describe the sound this guitar puts out in the right words, I'd probably be Henry Miller...but as I can't, and I'm not...you'll have to take my word for it..this is a ripper.
Made in the USA.
