Description
Pretty damn hard to find Rickenbacker 'Rose Morris' 330 (or 1997 Model).
Imported into the UK by Rose Morris and instead of the traditional cat eye soundhole they have a (perhaps more traditional - but not to Rickenbacker) F-hole.
Apparently only 176 of this model were shipped to the UK between '64-67, making this a very rare beast.
The one we have here is in pretty good shape, but as you can see, has had an added 60s D'Armond pickup in the bridge position. The tailpiece is a newer replacement too (as this model would have come with an Accent tremolo) Electronics are all as they left the factory in 1965. There are Grover tuners in place of the original tuners.
Both truss rods are working as they should.
Some wear on the neck, plenty of wear on the back of the body.
The balance between the pickups is great, and the D'Armond pickup (though not stock) works really well with the original toaster top in the neck.
What a bloody ripper.
