Description

There’s something undeniably special about the first wave of D-35s, and this one nails it. The Brazilian back and sides have that deep, cathedral-like ring, the kind of harmonic bloom that feels alive under your hands. The midrange is articulate but never thin, the lows sit warm and round, and the trebles shimmer without bite. Outside of it's materiality, this D-35 is very collectible in its own right being produced in the first full year of production making it a very early example.

This thing has clearly had a life too. The tops wear tells the story of decades of music. Authorised Martin repairer Daniel Hoban has done all the right work (neck reset, refret, rebridge), so it plays up and down the board exactly as it should and will continue to do so for the next few decades. The hard work is all done, this guitar is ready to enjoy.

A proper vintage dreadnought that offers huge value for someone chasing that real Brazilian rosewood sound... and doesn't it just look amazing!

Includes hardcase.
