Description
Player grade 1960s ES-335 that truly delivers. Beautifully aged Cherry Sunburst (just look at that colouration) with checking and wear in all the right spots. Lovely feeling guitar with the '67 nut width is offset by a deep, full carve that makes it feel great in the hand.
Work over the years includes a solid neck heel repair, bone nut, pro re-fret, modern pickguard, replaced knobs, one replaced pot (original broken pot in the case), and a stop tailpiece conversion. Currently loaded with a set of Jimmy Wallace PAFs that sound huge, articulate, and very characterful in the midrange.
A proper vintage 335 with character, honesty, and tone to burn. At this price it’s a killer players’ grade deal. Cheaper than that pseudo-aged Tom Murphy that failed to inspire at your local big box guitar store.
To me, this is easily one the best ES-335's we've had in store that doesn't push well past the 25k price point.
