Description
Chain smoking Gretsch 6122 model aka Country Gentleman. The Good: neck is worn to the point where it feels like the oldest friend you have, maybe even older. Original pickups, wiring Bigs are all in place. The Bad: Bridge is sitting low, not at the bottom of travel but low. Frets have some pitting. The Ugly: Yep, classic binding rot, ultimately doesn't make it unplayable, just a bit Tuco, if you know what I mean. Lowdown: Pickups sound bloody killer, if you don't own a 1960s Gretsch..why not? Nothing sounds or plays like these things, and IMO definitely something everyone should have in their arsenal. Priced accordingly, no case, but I imagine it'll fit in a 335 case. Play it the way it is, or give it some TLC, either way, it's a win win. Made in the USA, in Brooklyn, NY in the second month of 1968. SN 28463 Weight: 3.65kgs "You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig"
