Description

Dan Armstrong Ampeg Plexiglas, Lucite, Acrylic (whichever you prefer) guitar from 1970.

If you are familiar with these guitars you will know that they were constructed/carved from a block of solid Acrylic.

To my ears, there is NO other guitar that will do what a Dan Armstrong will do, they have an immediate attack and distinct sound.

This is the 3rd Dan I've seen come through the shop..and this one is the most complete, with a set of 3 pickups (one is a Kent Armstrong reissue, the other 2, original)

Neck shows some wear, but the guitar is in good order.

This is also, the model with the wooden bridge.

Rare to see an unadulterated DA, and a real pleasure.

Truss is working, frets are flat and low, but playability is beaut.

Reasonable weight too for one of these (4.10kgs) These Ampegs are a bit like a Travis Bean in that, they only made so many, and yet they are so firmly engraved into music history, only so many folks can own the real thing. In fact, only 2350 Ampeg Dan Armstrongs were made between 1969-1971.

Made in the USA and comes with the original hardshell case

Weight: 4.10kgs.
