Hmmm...a Gibson ES for under 10K..what am I missing? Introducing the somewhat rare and hard to find Gibson ES-340, a bit of an anomaly in Gibson's late 60s production, and made for a slim 2 years. Essentially an ES-335 body, but in a strictly Blonde finish with a maple neck and in stock form, a whacky wiring set up. The one we have here has been converted to 335 wiring, Bigsby added, knobs changed and Gibson Classic '57 humbuckers under the hood. No breaks or repairs and may I also say, an extremely comfortable neck with a little heft as you go up. It plays and sounds so damn joyous, and really a hell of a lot of guitar for the money. Some checking on the body and a slight little ding near the Bigsby (very slight) Still running the original frets. Tasty block inlays. Tiny bingle on the logo, please see pics. Machineheads are slightly (very slightly) bent, but this doesn't affect the tuning. Yes, I am in love with it, yes you should be too..this is a bloody good un. Made in the USA and comes with a brown Gibbo case. SN805163 Weight: 3.95kgs
