Description

Hmmm...a Gibson ES for under 10K..what am I missing? Introducing the somewhat rare and hard to find Gibson ES-340, a bit of an anomaly in Gibson's late 60s production, and made for a slim 2 years. Essentially an ES-335 body, but in a strictly Blonde finish with a maple neck and in stock form, a whacky wiring set up. This one is running stock, has the original Pat No. pickups on board, and stock wiring which is a master tone control, pickup blend control, and a 3-way toggle switch wired as a phase/off switch. A common convertion that you see on these is to wire 'em to ES-335 wiring, but to be honest, the stock wiring is pretty damn cool. Beautiful checking all over the body, still running the original frets, though I think they have been dressed in their lifetime. Bit of, no definitely a sleeper 60s Gibson, that really does sound as good as it looks, and is a joy to play. Yes, I am in love with it, yes you should be too..this too is a bloody good un. Made in the USA and comes with the original Gibson case too. SN 843558 Weight: 3.80kgs.
