Description
Mid 70s D-18, and gosh does it sound fresh.
Classic 'Polly' type of tone..dig. Slight V neck.
As I'm sure you know, these Martins had no truss rod but the neck is as straight as anything..
Action is sitting at 2.5 on the low side and 2 on the top. Bridge saddle is low and top of the bridge has had a touch taken off, but the guitar is playing exceptionally well at the moment.
Has had a headstock break at some point in its life, well repaired, little scar remains, call it character.
Frets still have plenty of life.
Sounds pretty much how you would want a D-18 to sound, Dry, Full, Warm, pretty.
Running with a fresh set of EJ16s.
Does have a bug pickup installed under the bridge, not the greatest thing in the world, but a Baggs or similar would sort this as a live weapon.
Sounds like the acoustic guitar tone on a whole lot of recordings that I like..
Comes with the original Martin case sadly missing the handle..
Made in the USA
