Description
Rare as all get out Rickenbacker 4000. One pickup is all you need, prove me wrong. Phil Lynott used one in the early days of Thin Lizzy, maybe that is all you need to know...if not, read on. This one has been refinished in Black, or Jetglo if you like, either way, it looks the biz, plays a treat, and the refinish is a very very good job. Nasty Seymour Duncan pickup in place. Original pickup has gone to God, AWOL somewhere over Saigon who knows? Strap pins are changed but the originals are in the case. Bridge cover missing (in action) Neck angle is good, action is good, with no neck pickup in the way it sounds damn ace...put it in H. Probs my fav bass in the shop right now, because, I am a Motorhead fan, and a guitar player NOT a bass player and this appeals to my Esquire/Junior leanings. Made in the USA, right in the middle of the decade, comes with the original hard case and a cool as serial that goes like this.. OG 3790 Weight: 3.9kgs "Ain't a hope in Hell
Nothing's gonna bring us down
The way we fly
Five miles off the ground
Because
We shoot to kill
And you know we always will
It's a bomber, it's a bomber" - Motorhead, Bomber.
