Description

Perhaps the most iconic acoustic guitar ever designed. The D-28 has been featured on countless recordings across multiple genres since its advent in the early 1930s. Initially designed for volume and progression to compete with the then popular banjo and resonator backed instruments, players for almost a century have found their unique voice with a D-28.

The HD-28 is a lovely model at that, adorning vintage aesthetics and features throughout. Herringbone binding, scalloped X bracing. The spruce top has some lovely checking to the finish, beautiful grain to rosewood back and sides along with the zig zag centre trim. Also featuring of course a mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge. It has a particularly flat neck profile. Its certainly been played in over the years and it has an articulate and rich voice. It has had a neck reset as well as a refret. The bridge pins have also been replaced with Stew Mac bone pins. Back to flying fit playability this iconic dreadnought will not disappoint and continue to soar for many more years to come.

Comes with its original hardcase. Made in the USA serial 398774
