Hog wild Guild from '78. Great American sounding acoustic from the brand that is all too often left out of the conversation. Guild always kinda flew their own flag, and you'll find plenty of devotees.
You'd expect all mahogany to look at it, but while earlier D-25M spec was, the 70s saw Mahogany sides and an arched back, with spruce tops stained to look like mahogany - for sonic reasons I suppose. Secret spruce! Beyond that, it's all the comfy western dread spec. Like an old sweater.
Action is sitting pretty at the moment, little bit of room in the saddle left for the future... Case is in very pretty condition, and not only does it have the owners manual but it has a fake snakeskin lining on the inside of the accessory pocket..phew. A neck reset would see this guitar through the next couple of decades but ultimately this is a super playable, and great sounding acoustic just the way it is now.
