Easily my favourite Stratocaster in the shop right now. Beat up, shaken but not stirred Stratocaster, that's Fender Stratocaster. It's not really a Cooder mod but it does have 3 very gnarly Teisco pickups on board, and also the '60s pots from a Teisco Lapsteel. Original late 70s body and neck, changed pickups obviously, changed machineheads, changed saddles, newish Tort guard, knobs etc. What you have left is something no one else has, a cool looking and incredible sounding Stratocaster. Beautiful Ash body under a rattle can black finish. Stay tuned for when we put Strat pickups in a short scale Teisco, should be ready to go on sale around 2030. It's not light at 4.7kgs, but weight equals tone, and brass nuts increase sustain, all over the fretboard, or so I am told. Frets show some pitting. New nut. Don't be a sheep, be a goat or donkey.
