Description
Hot damn K.Yairi YW-800..D-45 type. Solid Spruce top, Abalone, Jacaranda back and sides. Ebony fingerboard and Ebony bridge. Plenty of height in the saddle, plenty of life in the frets. Sounds, and of course looks, like a million dollars, and indeed, these guitars were very expensive new, around 800 Yen in 1979..phew. Some wear on the guitar but overall in nice condition. Sounds full, warm and resonant..and a treat to play with a subtle V shaped neck. I guess when folks talk in hushed, or sometimes not so hushed tones, about K.Yairi guitars, this is probably a good example of why they have such a devoted following. Made in Japan in 1979. SN25021. Comes with the original Yairi case.
