A really strong early-80s SA-series Greco in beautiful condition. Original Maxon pickups are present. This thing has a warm, articulate voice that sits right in classic semi-hollow territory. The walnut finish is a standout here, with nicely pronounced, dynamic grain across the top that gives it plenty of visual depth.
These feature the half-block construction used at the time, so you get something that sits nicely between a 335 and a 330 in feel and response. There’s a bit of air and openness, but still enough centre mass to keep things focused and controllable. Comfortable on the shoulder too, without labouring the point.
Condition-wise, it’s very honest. There’s a small plugged hole near the three-way switch from a previously installed mini-toggle. One knob is missing its reflector cap, and the neck pickup ring has a small crack in one corner. All minor stuff that doesn’t detract from how good this looks or sounds.
A great-looking, great-sounding 335-style with real character and presence. They don't come around this good all that often anymore. Freshly serviced and singing away with a low action.
