1981 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe (USA, Natural, HSC)
I'm emotional, because my first good Les Paul was a '79 Deluxe.
Mine was a Goldtop, but I kinda think this original Natural finish trumps it (at least I do now!)
This one has had a couple of changes.
Seymour Duncans, are in the place of the original mini humbuckers (actually sound fantastic). It's also had changed machines with the originals in case (Sadly one is busted) New jack plate. Must have had a midi pickup at one point, 2 small holes in the top near the bridge. Original pots date to '80 and '81. Truss rod is working well, minor repair to the end of the truss, but is functioning as it should.
Lightweight too, at least lighter than my first LP haha.
Still running low, fast, original frets. Non Pancake body, maple neck.
Yep, you could drop P90s in it if you dig Mike Ness, or leave it the way it is, if you like Eliot Ness, either way, this is a bewdy..
