1983 Fender TL-52 JV Telecaster Mod (Japan, Natural Satin)

Description

Neck is pencil-dated 8/10/83, placing it squarely in the JV era, though this one has lived a full life as a working guitar. Body has been stripped to a natural satin feel. Pickguard replaced, and the bridge now houses an ‘80s Seymour Duncan single-coil-sized humbucker. G and B bender system fitted, machined from a Bigsby unit, giving it that Parsons-style pull but with its own offbeat twist. High-mass brass saddles and a replaced bridge plate keep the hardware solid. Serial is long gone due to the neck plate being swapped for an ‘80s brass Azuma Aoyagi Fender plate. Control plate has an added coil tap for the bridge humbucker. A proper player’s Tele with plenty of lived-in character and a ton of mechanical personality. Weight 3.6kg
