Description
Yet another early Japanese made Telecaster in gorgeous Pink Paisley. Probably one of the closest in construction to the original late 60s Paisley Telecaster that Fender have ever made. Stickum wallpaper under a poly finish. The limited run of Paisleys that Fender just did was pretty damn nice, but the colour was more Pink Panther than a soft 'freak out' pink like the guitar we have here. Neck is a ripper on this guitar, super slim C neck. Frets have plenty of life in em.
There are a couple of dings, one on the top bout through the finish..and a couple of small cracks on the back and front of the body. Switch tip has been replaced with a Strat style one. Everything else is running stock, though I suspect that the strap buttons may have been changed...I won't mention it if you don't. Bridge and tuners have some tarnishing. Clear pickguard is a replacement.
This straddles the line nicely between a player grade instrument and something that is still hard to find and collectable...I guess what I am saying is, you could gig the hell out of this and at the end of the day still have a cool collectable thing that only increase in value.
Embrace the 1960s aesthetic, embrace James Burton, shoot embrace whoever you want....LUV.
Made in Japan with an A serial that goes like this, A029600 and comes with a nice new hardshell case with orange lining.
Weight: 3.35kgs
