Bloody rare double bound Esquire from 1986. Features the pencil neck date, and TLC-54B and TLC-62B neck and body as it should. Has been changed to Telecaster set up with added neck pickup like a lot of folks tend to do with Esquires, so neck pickup added and non original pickguard. Beautiful CAR finish with lovely wear on the back. Switch tip changed too. I particularly love this model and would be half convinced to change it back to Esquire wiring and replace the guard should it be mine, but you of course make the decision to do whatever you like once you own it.
Lets face it, if you want an Esquire, there are not a lot of choices, and these early Japanese built Fender are of course, out of sight.
Slight pitting on the frets, but room to dress in the future should you wish. Strap buttons changed to locking type.
