With active electronics and 2 very very good sounding Ibanez Super 4 pickups, this is the very damn cool Ibanez Musician MC940 Fretless Bass.

The one we have here is in good condition, some tarnishing to the hardware, but everything is working as it should.

The beauty of this bass is that you don't need to be concerned about fret life, because of course, there are no frets!

Plugged in it punches the amp hard.

Nice low action, set up beautifully.

Little bit of clear finish missing where the G# note is on the low E.

I guess these is not the cheapest fretless around, but when you think about it, it represents truly excellent value. If you were to make a bass of this caliber today, the price would be exhorbitant.
