Here's a great piece of Fender history. You're looking at an early USA made Custom Shop instrument. Yes, this is before the iconic 'Chevron' logo was even pushed into circulation. A guitar made when the new Shultz headed Fender had something to prove and the 'Custom Shop' badge was a marque aimed at winning back the players who abandoned the brand through the patchy tail end of the 1980s late CBS era ownership. This is about as good as an all-rosewood Telecaster gets without spending close to $20,000 on a vintage original... and this one is even nitrocellulose finished! Gorgeous rosewood picked for both the body and neck with some striking grain patterns in the neck particularly. Vintage spec throughout... 7.25" fretboard radius, spanky vintage voiced pickups, Kluson style heads... This one is a proper lifer... SN V053118.
