Years ago..(round 93). I was in Seattle and I visited a music shop with a brand new J-200. Strumming that sucker was a definite moment for me, was one of the best acoustic guitars I had ever heard at the point in my life. Years on, I still get the same feeling playing a J-200, such a full, rich guitar. It's not a Martin, and it doesn't pretend to be...but if you dig the sound of a Gibson acoustic, well, you can't really get much better than this. Gibson had something to prove in the late 80s, early 90s with their acoustic guitars..they had not made any during a lot of the 80s, and that was indeed the next piece of the puzzle after rescuing the brand from the jaws of near extinction. Ok, mucho checking all over this guitar. Gibson 90s tuners are back on now, small evidence of other tuners if you look hard enought. The neck is chunky, unusual for this era, maybe it adds to the resonance of the guitar, maybe it doesn't, but if you dig a larger profile this could be the puppy for you. No breaks splits or repairs, plenty of saddle height, original frets. It takes me back, it'll probably do something for you too. Made in the USA and comes with the original brown Gibson case. #90222012
