Olympic White that has been absolutely soaked in nicotine haze over the years, now sitting in that perfect yellowed zone that makes a mid 90s Custom Shop Tele look like it has lived a real life. Neck is dated August 10 1995 and signed off by Gastellum, who was an iconic neck shaper at Fender having been with the company since 1961 till his retirement in the 00's. Body is May 1995 with correct Custom Shop stamps. Birdseye maple neck with a slab rosewood board, 9.5 radius, cloth wired vintage style pickups and pots that date to 1995. Tone and volume knobs have been replaced along with the switch tip. Finish on the back of the neck has worn right through to wood, giving it an easy, played in feel without trying too hard. A very cool Custom Shop era piece with plenty of character. As a Custom Shop instrument from the programs early days, this one ticks the boxes for both players and collectors.
