Rare to see in this country...the Rickenbacker 4001V63.
I don't know about you but I dig the no binding thing..it looks like the bass really means business...and it does.
The difference between this and the original (aside from the obvious) is , this bass has a dual trussrod..as opposed to the single that the 60s ones had (apparently something to do with running flatwound strings) Anyway, this bass would be happy with roundwounds or flats and not kick up.
The finish is somewhat satin in spots, but the parts that count, electronics, frets and overall build are solid as hell...and if you had to have a desert island Rick Bass...it could totally be this.
Non original, vintage case that does the job well. Again, rare to see in this country, resplendent in Fireglo finish..and reasonably priced for what it is.
