1996 Gibson ES-135 (USA, Ebony, OHSC)

SOLD!

Description

Yep, I'm a Thorogood fan..and I'd love nab a 2 pickup ES-125 but it is becoming an expensive proposition.

An ES-125 is an uncontrolable beast at higher volumes, due to the fact that a 125 is a fully hollow construction.

Wow, what if Gibson made a P-90/100 thing with a centre block?

Well, they do, or did..Introducing the very cool Gibson ES-135.

First made in very small numbers in the late 50s..then revived in the 1990s.

Now these came out in a few colours, and it is most common to see Sunburst, sometimes Blueburst, Natural and Cherry..but not often Wine Red or Ebony.

Florentine cutaway looks beautiful, and of course, Ebony is a very saucy colour for one of these.

P-100 pickups (don't be scared they sound fantastic)

Tailpiece has been changed to a somewhat more ornate version, but everything is else is stock.

It's a nicely made thing, and comes with the brown Gibson case it shipped with in '96 and also a cool Gibson hangtag.

Bbbbbbbbb Bad...

"On the day I was born

The nurses all gathered 'round

And they gazed in wide wonder

At the joy they had found

The head nurse spoke up

Said "leave this one alone"

She could tell right away

That I was bad to the bone" - George Thorogood, Bad To The Bone.
