You don't need to hear me harp on again about my fondness for the Ren Ferguson era of Gibson Montana, but this J-50 sits right in the thick of it being built in 1999. These are some of the most dependable workhorse acoustics Gibson has produced, and this one is a good example of why. Essentially a natural-finish J-45, the J-50 has long been associated with the use of higher-grade spruce for its exposed soundboard. This example also features Kluson plastic-button tuners, giving it a particularly nice vintage look. A small crack in the soundboard, alongside the bass side of the fingerboard extension, has been glued and repaired. Freshly serviced. Includes the original Gibson hardcase. Serial #90399045.
