Description
Very cool run these things. Prohibitively expensive back in their day. Essentially a Custom Shop Les Paul that steps a little outside the usual fully trad vintage aesthetic. Still has all the proper features like nickel hardware, holly headstock veneer and genuine mother of pearl, but in this case you get what Gibson called a "transparent black". To me it definitely reads more root beer or chocolate in person. The quilting is really striking in the flesh.
Sits somewhat in player grade territory due to its aesthetic condition (good). Plenty of dings and dints so you can actually take it out of the house. There is a repair to the fingerboard around the 20th fret where a small split looks to have been sorted. It is essentially imperceivable.
No COA with this one. If that bothers you, you can reach out to Gibson directly to sort out a replacement, but this is the sort of Class 5 that belongs with someone who wants to play it, not log it in a spreadsheet.
Built in USA. Serial number CS10203. Weight: 3.9 kg.
