A lively, cherry-soaked Hummingbird from the Gibson Custom Shop.
Big, open strum. Strong mids with that classic square-shoulder thump.
The finish still pops hard in person.
Ceramic saddle on this one which gives it a bright, chiming attack that suits the ‘60s vibe well (to me is very much the defining character of these early 1960s style Gibson flat tops).
Custom Shop decal on the rear of the headstock.
Quite a light instrument which speaks to its resonance.
Heavier than normal aesthetic playwear on this one with some pick scapes to the finish. Easily buffed out should some someone want (why would you?).
There is a neatly repaired chip to the bass-side headstock wing, but it's solid, tidy work and regardless, purely an aesthetic blemish. Just serviced and playing sweet.
