Description
The venerable and iconic StingRay was the first production four string bass to feature on-board active equalization. This one from 2010 deviates very little from the tried and tested formula. Massive hardened steel bridge, oval pickguard with the huge bridge bucker, 3+1 tuning key configuration, comfy contours and great neck geometry. As demonstrated by the wear to the surface of the fingerboard, the previous owner thought so too and put a commensurate amount of miles on it. Despite that, the frets are a 9/10, the hardware is looking sharp with little to no pitting or tarnishing. The active electrics work faultlessly and the spoke nut truss rod can be trussted to bend in both directions. There's a little scrape in the finish just under where you arm sits on the bevel, and a circle on the back from what we reckon would have been a sticker, but besides these two minor blems the body is in great shape. Weighs bang on 4kg, comes in its original hard shell case, and its serial number is E76322.
