Description
2010 Gibson Custom Shop 50th Anniversary 1960 ES-335TD. Highly desirable VOS in Antique Natural (Blonde), #51 of a limited 250-piece run. This guitar features the rare early-1960 transitional configuration, pairing a friendly 1960 'Slim Taper' neck carve with late-1950s aesthetic markers including pearloid dot inlays, a long pickguard, gold reflector top-hat knobs and 'mickey mouse ear' horns. Internally designated under Gibson model code HB030M, the pressed maple body is finished in a gently aged nitrocellulose lacquer and fitted from factory with '57 Classic buckers. The guitar is neat with minimal playwear, no breaks or repairs. Chip to the finish on rear of neck around the 8th fret and another little ding around the 10th... just enough aesthetic wear to keep the tears from pouring should you have done it yourself first. Super cool thing. Gibson rarely does a Dot Neck 1960 spec at this level. Priced less than a new Murphy Lab with double the build quality... feel free to fight me on that... Comes complete with its original Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case, Certificate of Authenticity, and the original warranty booklet matching serial A00051. Weight 3.5kg.
