Description
A Custom Shop take on the classic D-45s, with East Indian Rosewood back and Sides and an Adirondack
Spruce top (circa 1937). It's fitted with carved Waverley tuning machines and has extensive, meticulous
abalone inlay work that needs to be seen to be believed. The Custom Shop also fitted it out with some optionsthat are no longer available, including fossilised mammoth ivory for the nut, saddle and bridge pins and a Madagascan Rosewood headplate. The detail on this guitar is quite honestly breath-taking as an absolute testament to the Custom Shop's skill
Sound-wise, it's easily one of the most complicated and full-sounding Martins available anywhere. As to be
expected of a Rosewood Dreadnought it's got a bottom end that just swells out like a slow wave when
strummed, but it's also beautifully articulate through the mids and has shimmering highs when fingerpicked.
Comes in a Custom Shop hard case.
This is a pre-loved instrument, but it is in perfect condition.
