Guild Starfire bass in Cherry. Rather faithful reissue of the 1960's originals.
These earlier Korean builds have some neat details like the floating bridge with hardwood saddles (oh yeah!).
Anyway, we're talking a semi-hollow with a centre block construction here... in my opinion, such a winner for a bass. Just a note too - this model is NOT the relatively recent c2020's era model... it has a totally different spec, totally different RRP at the time and is relatively uncommon.
Short scale feel, easy to move around (despite being a big ol body), with a soft, even response that suits a wide range of styles.
Currently strung with rounds but I think this thing would also suit a set of thumpy flats just as nicely!
Nice looking cherry finish.
Clean overall with light signs of use, nothing major.
Made in Korea, and includes the original Guild hard shell case.
