if you're going to own a Les Paul, make sure it's a Goldtop - Hubert Sumlin.. OK Sumlin may never have actually said this...but hey, he's got a point right.. A Gibson Goldtop is like a White Falcon..a Rickenbacker 360, a um, I dunno, Charvel Model 6? This one looks the biz, checking on top, a nasty, 'I mean business' top wrap. Original Zebra pickups, wild, untamed. Little bit of wear on the back. Changed machineheads to Grovers. Has the original case, not that it will be spending much time in there..Yes, it does sound good playing 'Smokestack Lightning', and yes it will/will not, give you the blues depending on your preference.
