A Custom Shop '57 Strat with a killer black over sunburst finish built as a limited run for the NAMM show in 2018. This Heavy Relic model nails the look and feel of a well-played vintage Strat without sacrificing modern playability.
Built around a lightweight alder body in two-tone sunburst, it features a quartersawn maple neck with a '57 soft V profile, 9.5” radius, and narrow tall frets—giving it a fast, familiar feel without losing its vintage roots. The relic work is aggressive but tasteful, with rolled edges, lacquer checking, and deep wear across the fretboard and body.
Pickups are a hand-wound trio (Fat '50s set in this one), offering glassy top-end, punchy mids, and that scooped, Stratty thing we all chase. Neck pickup is full and warm, middle is tight and snappy, and the bridge has bite without being shrill.
Includes original tweed hardcase, certificate of authenticity, and all case candy.
