Hollow neck Hawaiian Steel guitar made in New Jersey by Oscar Schmidt.

Full Koa construction, rope binding.

Built in the '20s in the midst of the Hawaiian music craze..bring it back I say, we are almost bang on 100 years!

This guitar is in very nice condition, original 3 bolt bridge and fret wire saddle are in place.

One smallish repaired crack on the back (not cleated, glued), and one small one near the bridge on the front (that really looks like the grain. Both are stable and should not present you with any issue. Slightest bit of, how shall I say it, reverse belly near the bridge, but otherwise, a very, very healthy instrument for its age. Light build, and super resonant.

These are not an easy find by any stretch, and I must say, it is really a pleasure to play.

Comes with the original leather case, which is quite the work of art in itself.

The label inside shows a volcano and palm trees...excuse me while I drift away for a bit.

Made in the USA.
