Little charmer Gibson acoustic from '68. If only you could see, what it has seen with its eyes. Like probably 99% of the guitars in the shop I have no idea of the history of this guitar, so, I'll just make something up. Born in 1968, this guitar was stolen from McCabes Music Shop by Squeaky Fromme given to Charles Manson and played at Spahn Ranch. After his arrest, it was given away to David Crosby, and used to write ' Almost Cut My Hair'. From there it ended up on a commune/cult before being sold to Ted Nugent who recorded the guide track for 'Strangehold' using this guitar. At some point in the 1980s it ended up in the hands of Stevie Nicks, and was the inspiration for 'Edge Of Seventeen'. From there it went to Tom Petty who called it 'his #1', before trading it for a 6 pack and large bag of cocaine in 1993. From 1993-2026 the history is a little hazy.. before ending up at Echo Tone via an anonymous consign. It's beat, sweet, and petite, and if even an 8th of the above is true, there are more songs and times to be had with this guitar. Who knows where it may go from here? Action sitting nice and low, Adjustable bridge is low but has probably been this way for ages. Many dings and scratches.
