Description
Another fine example from our our favourite honky, heavy horned builders: Elk! A heinous, back-cushioned bigsby singlecut in olympique white. As is always the case where ELK are concerned, scant details exist and we always have more than a little trouble pinning down exactly what on earth is going on, so here instead are some facts about Elk. The elk (or wapiti) is the second largest species within the deer family, Cervidae, and one of the largest terrestrial mammals in its native range of North America and Central and East Asia. The word "elk" originally referred to the European variety of the moose, Alces alces, but was transferred to Cervus canadensis by North American colonists.
With an overwound beefy Jag style pickup in the bridge, this sucker might not look like much but it will kick most Telecasters to the curb...no joke. Of course Elk were known for their bang on Jaguars, that were completely reverse engineered from a Fender Jaguar in the 1960s.
While this Telecaster may not be a bang on Fender rip in specs, trust me, it'll cure what ails you.
This guitar also comes with the original Elk case too.
Made in Japan.
"Oh, you know her
Would you look at that hair?
Yeah, you know her
Check out those shoes
She looks like she stepped out of
The middle of somebody's blues
She looks like the Sunday comics
She thinks she's Brenda Starr
Her nose job is real atomic
All she needs is an old knife scar" - Blondie, Rip Her To Shreds.
