Description

The Pirles FB-40 (often misread or referenced similarly to an FG-40) is a vintage 1970s closed-back 5-string or tenor banjo, likely manufactured in the Asian market (associated with Japan/Philippines production during the mid-1970s) and sold through military PX stores - thank you AI, you're my only hope! Enough of all that. This is a Pirles FB-40 Banjo, a vintage closed back 5 string banjo, which was likely made in the Asian market as it is associated with Japan/Phillippines production during the mid 1970s. It was sold through military PX stores. It also has inlays in the block style, a headstock with a star on it and a chunky (not clunky) metal arm rest. It also features pearlish banjo precision tuning machines. The neck is straight, the moon is full, the time is right for banjoing. This thing is capable of punching out volume..so enter, at your peril. Made in Japan, or possibly the Phillippines, best to ask AI. Comes with its own case too... yay.
