This is a straight-up Watson Mustang copy from the anything-goes era of MIJ production. Short scale feel, offset body, simple layout, and that unmistakable scrappy Mustang attitude. It carries the same slightly awkward, slightly defiant personality that makes real 70s Mustangs so appealing.
The natural finish suits it perfectly and lets the whole thing lean into its utilitarian look. There’s nothing fancy going on here, just honest materials, period quirks, and plenty of visible mileage from decades of use.
A great option if you want something that isn’t another Strat or Tele derivative, has genuine age, and sits comfortably under the four-figure mark. Fun, accessible, and very hard not to like.
