Description
Oh my golly gosh.
This is a honky little puppy.
Short scale SB-30 Yamaha.
One thumpy sounding pickup, bridge cover, pickup cover, stock pots, actually stock everything.
Under the bridge cover there is a mute that can go up or down. Up for maximum thump and shorter sustain, down for less thump and more sustain.
Volume and tone controls.
Chrome hardware shows some pitting, but I don't think that this bass has spent much time thumping at all.
Dig that crazee stock strap pin near the neck...ohhh the craziness.
Freshly set up, but we have retained the flat wounds because....more thump.
Back control panel has done the classic brown sticky paper thing (always remove the brown paper kids) but aside from that this is in really nice condition for over half a century on the planet.
Genuine Showa era Yamaha that should be worth more but is not, because people are mad.
Thump.
