Description

Another beautiful 70s Guild for your consideration. This one with a few more scars than the average, but it definitely understands the assignment.

This is the Guild entry to the "D" series American Dreadnought race - 'Long' scale, solid spruce top with x-bracing, solid mahogany back and sides, mahogany neck, and rosewood board and bridge. Pearloid dot inlays as well as pearloid side dot markers. Good fret life with minor pitting. Tuners replaced with Gotoh SG381s which is both a shame (the originals are bulbous and weird!) and a blessing - the SG381's high ratio is a boon. Candidate for a future neck reset depending on your desired playing action, but currently feeling very good to these hands. A strong low end growl awaits you.

Some playwear to the top from many a vigorous strum, some bumps and knocks all around, and a bit of finish worn away down near the endpin, but all contributing to a guitar that feels like it was used to do something, and wants to keep doing it. Don't disappoint it! Guitars get sad, you know.

SN 76627. Comes in a white case not unlike the upholster of your Grandad's sedan.
