Morris guitars were extremely popular in Japan in the seventies and eighties as domestic alternatives to Martin and Gibson models, made to an excellent standard, and over time they've become just as desirable as the 'real thing'. Borrowing styling from the Martin D-35, it's a traditional square shoulder dreadnought with a three piece back. Laminate spruce top, laminate rosewood on the back and sides, but minimal ply unlike the multiply laminates of present day instruments.
