Description
Hand-built by Barry Kerr of Woodtone Guitars in Hamilton, VIC, this 18" New York-style archtop is a beautifully executed piece of Australian luthiery. It features a solid carved spruce top, carved Blackwood back and sides, and a birdseye maple neck.
Loaded with an EMG pickup (active! battery mounted in the F-hole), floating bridge and tailpiece, Grover tuners, and a bound tort-style guard. The neck heel has been professionally reglued, with some finish lift visible at the join. Few other minor playmarks around the body and neck, and some adhesive residues beneath the guard from various mounting strategies. The model is marked W.S.A.T. with the serial listed as “Special,” likely a custom one-off. Includes a high-quality fibreglass hardcase made in WA. Signed by the luthier on soundhole label.
