’65 Framus made Aristone ‘Hollywood’ guitar.
3 single coil pickups and the best black over gold sunburst you’ve ever seen.
Story goes that in the UK these were marketed as Aristone, but of course, made by Framus, and indeed, this is most definitely a Hollywood.
We dig when things like this come in, a real bit of guitar making history.
Not only is this guitar a pretty unique sounding and looking mid 60s guitar, but it also has the best hardcase I’ve ever seen. Cool shape, and the inside looks like a picnic table.
Ok, so frets are kinda low (they always were) and the headstock join has been shored up (not a break, just a necessary strengthen) but aside from that, this thing is a played, but well looked after portal into the swinging 60s.
Truss rod is working in all directions, north, south, east, west..and all electronics are functioning as they should.
Lovely, lovely thing, that will make someone very happy.
