Cute, Ovation made in smallish numbers in '76/77 for the 200th Birthday of America.

This one is number 1443 of only 1776.

I don't know why they made 1776 of them, what a strange number?

Seriously though, this is one hell of a thing. Patriot burst finish, and a stock little decal of a drum, spear (or javelin), flag and drum sticks (probably 2B, I'm unsure).

Frets are good, no dings in the top, back is in beautiful condition...of course none of this matters if it doesn't sound good..but it does sound incredibly good!

Ebony fingerboard (with diamond inlays) , slight V shape neck with maple strip through the middle. Plenty of saddle height. Diamond on the truss rod cover too.

Those folks that know, know that these 70s Ovations are one hell of a thing, and for this sort of dough, you are getting a nice little bit of history. Dig..

Made in the USA

SN 1443 of 1776.

Comes with the original Ovation hardshell case too!

But I'm gonna be where the lights are shining on me

Getting cards and letters from people I don't even know

And offers coming over the phone" - Glen Campbell, Rhinestone Cowboy.
