Here's a bloody ripper..and without saying 'rare' or 'find another', this is the first one of these I have seen in flesh. Shergold Modulator Bass. Why is it a Modulator? Well, these had little 'modules' you could buy and swap in and out with a simple screw. The Bass we have here has 'Module 3' installed which allowed you to switch between 2 preset volume and tone. Of course I am a sucker for British made instruments, Burns, Watkins, Hayman, Shergold..shall I go one...best not. Point is, if you are craving a sound and a thing that no one (or not many people anyway) have, then I can highly recommend this bass. OK, so, the little pickguard is missing, many dings and scratches, plenty of wear on the board...somebody really loved this bass..One little tip is missing off one of the sliders too. Frets are still looking good and have life, and dig that plexiglas bridge. Comes with a roadcase style case, just in time to go on tour. Made in England. SN 5414 Weight: 4.3kgs "How does it feel..... to be a performing seal" - not New Order.
