Description
Cool short lived reissue of the Les Paul Recording model made in the 1970s. Gibson boasted at the time this came out (around 2013) that the pickups paid tribute to the originals but with improved tone and volume, and I certainly wouldn't disagree with this..What you have here is an ultimately very versatile guitar, with a multitude of sounds on tap. This guitar is in stunning condition, near new, non pancake body, but it does have a little cute volute in tribute to the original. Honestly, I had never played one of these reissue Recordings before, so I wasn't sure what it would be like..but lets just say, it's exceeded my expectations, and I reckon would be a really cool stage guitar or aptly named studio piece for someone. Weight is reasonable too. Made in the USA. SN 100340345 Weight: 4.35kgs "Somewhere there's music, how faint the tune
Somewhere there's heaven, how high the moon
There is no moon above when love is far away too
Until it comes true that you love me as I love you
Somewhere there's music, how near, how far
Somewhere there's heaven, it's where you are
The darkest night would shine if you would come to me soon
Until you will, how still my heart, how high the moon" - Les Paul & Mary Ford, How High The Moon.
