Meow. Or nyan, I guess. The Cat’s Eyes CE-800T is more or less a replica of the venerable OOO-28. Solid spruce top, Honduras mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, bridge, back and sides.
Sounds fantastic! Good balance between the mid-bass of the OOO size and sparkling trebles. Scalloped X-bracing lets the soundboard really do the work here, doesn’t feel stiff or muted. An easy playing, resonant, lively guitar which suits a flat picker or a fingerpicker equally. A really great thing with all the bells and whistles, and very affordable.
