Before the solidbody became the standard, the electric guitar was a hollowbody. Born from the need for guitarists to be heard alongside big bands, amplified archtops became central to jazz, blues and early rock ’n’ roll, with the later semi-hollow design bridging the gap between acoustic resonance and solidbody practicality. Our collection spans vintage and second-hand hollow and semi-hollow guitars, from Gibson, Gretsch and Epiphone classics to Japanese-made instruments and more unusual takes on the form.
